Attendance: approx. 150 People  (MAX 195 allowed in facility/per Contract)

10:00 AM: DOORS OPEN  NTL REGISTERED MEMBERS & immediate Family

10 AM-1 PM: Family Visiting & Activities

  • On-site Registration Updates – Address/Contact Info only
  • On-site IDs & Certificates Available ($10 ea.)
  • Children Activities (Coloring Contests; Storytelling; Beading)
  • Family Sharing & Visiting
  • Coffee w/ Chief Fred & Council Members (Casual meet/greet)
  • Campti Property Tours Available (self-driven/10 AM to 1 PM)

12:30 PM: NTL Drums CALL FAMILY TO GATHER FOR DINNER

1-2 PM: DINNER SERVED AT EVENT CENTER

2-4 PM: NTL Tribe Updates & Member Input  (PROPOSED TOPICS)

  • Campti Property Building & Grounds Update
  • BIA Progress & Next Steps
  • LA State & Local Partnerships
  • Council of Elders Recognition
  • NTL Member Volunteer Opportunities & Expectations

Office of Indian Affairs Scholarship

With assistance from the Louisiana Indian Educational Association, the Office of Indian Affairs annually provides awards to Native American students from Louisiana tribes to attend a college or higher education institution of their choice. The awards are funded through proceeds received from the renewal and sale of special prestige license plates for motor vehicles representing Native American culture in accordance with RS 47:463:78. Recipients are selected based on academic and financial need.
